First launch

The first launch walks you through a setup wizard that takes about a minute. When it finishes you land in the main menu, and the wizard does not appear again.

The wizard goes in this order:

  1. Welcome: “Welcome to Soar Client”, which moves on by itself.
  2. Choose a theme: pick dark or light, then click “Next”.
  3. Choose an accent color: pick a color you like, then click “Next”.
  4. Sign in to a Minecraft account: see below.
  5. Check data: shows “Checking data…”. If the game files it needs are not ready, it waits here and continues on its own once they are.
  6. Setup complete: shows “Setup complete!”, then opens the main menu.

What you see at the sign-in step depends on how you started the game.

  • Started from Soar Launcher with an account already selected: the launcher account is used and you are not asked to sign in again, so the wizard only has the theme and accent color.
  • Anything else (for example starting the offline edition from a script): a sign-in screen with two options:
    • Microsoft Login: opens a separate sign-in window where you sign in to your Microsoft account. If you have not finished within two minutes, the window closes by itself; click again if you need to. If the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime is not installed, the window shows the official download link, and the client does not install it for you.
    • Offline Login: enter any username to get in. Offline accounts cannot join servers that require a genuine Minecraft account.

The account is saved on this computer, so you do not sign in again on later launches.

Press Right Shift in game to open the menu. The pages on the left are Home, Modules, Cosmetics, Music, Screenshot, Profile and Settings.

Open Settings → Language and choose the client language.

Choose the theme, accent color and HUD theme in Settings → Appearance. See Appearance and themes.

Go to the Modules page, search for the ones you use often, such as FPS, keystrokes or CPS, switch them on, then drag them to a good spot on screen. See Modules and HUD.

Once you are on a multiplayer server, Soar automatically shares your username, the server you are on and the cape you picked, so Soar players on the same server see each other’s capes. If you would rather not appear in the same-server list, open Settings → Online service and turn on Hide my username. See Online service.

A website account gives you the cape library, cloud profiles and private backups. Register first, then link your current Minecraft account in Settings → Online service.
