Animated capes and expiry

Animated capes are a monthly subscription, 1–36 months, each month counted as 31 days. For the file requirements for uploads, see Capes.

Slots

• There are up to 3 slots, each timed on its own.
• When you start one, an empty slot is used first; if all 3 are active, a renewal is added to the slot that expires earliest.
• Manage animated capes on the website under My capes; you can upload from the client too.

Uploads

Each slot allows 2 uploads every 31 days: the first upload, and one replacement after that.

After expiry

• When a slot expires the animated cape stops showing right away, and its content is kept for 31 days. Renewing the same slot during that time brings it back.
• If the slot that expired was the primary one, a slot that is still active takes over as primary, and its design, remaining days and uploads stay as they were.
• Expiry only affects the animated cape; if you also have permanent sponsorship, your badge and custom capes are not affected.

Unlinking or switching accounts

Perks belong to the linked Minecraft account:

• After unlinking, the perks pause; linking the same account again restores them.
• If you link a different account, the perks do not transfer.
